Slowke is a celebrated dual-sport standout in both football and baseball. As a quarterback, Steve was a two-time All-MIAA selection and was named the MIAA MVP for football in 2002. The Scots won the MIAA Championship by going undefeated in league play and 9-2 overall, qualifying for the NCAA Division III Football Championships. He has the single season NCAA record in total offense - 3,639 yards in 2001.
 
Steve was as a dominant offensive threat, anchoring prolific offensive teams that remain among the best in Alma College history. In 2002, he led the league in passing efficiency (150.7) and total offense (2,173 yards) after topping the conference in total offense in 2001 with 2,009 yards. His name is listed throughout the Alma College record book in individual single season passing yards, total offense, and touchdown passes. Steve’s career records include fifth in total offense (7,521 yards), fifth in passing yards (6,363) and fifth with 54 touchdown passes.
 
Steve also played baseball during his four years as a Scot, earning four letters while being named to the All-MIAA First Team three times. Steve set the career record in runs scored with 90, a mark that stood for over decade. He also ranks third in the record books for career doubles (36) with a career batting average of .374.
