Alma College

Klein-Line was a multi-sport standout who tried to compete in as many sports at Alma College as possible during the days after Title IX. She earned eight letters in three sports: four in tennis, two in field hockey, and two in cross country. She is one of the very few student-athletes in school history who was a significant contributor in all three sports that she competed in at Alma College.
 
As a tennis player, Heidi was a three-time number one singles player and was named team MVP three times. Her sophomore season was spectacular, as she posted a record of 30-1 in singles play.
 
A two-sport athlete in the fall, Heidi had to juggle her practice times between field hockey and cross country. In field hockey, Heidi was the starting forward for two years. She was also the top runner on the women’s cross-country teams in 1982 and 1983, both of which have been inducted in the Alma College Athletics Hall of Fame.
