• Batted clean-up in baseball.
• As a football coach, led undefeated MIAA championship squads in 1941 and 1942.
• In seven years, won 29 contests while losing only 18.
• In basketball, coached the undefeated MIAA championship squads of 1940-41 and 1941-42.
• His basketball squads won 28 consecutive conference games over a period of three years.
• Left Alma in 1944 to become Athletic Director and basketball coach at Dow Chemical High School in Midland, Michigan.
