D. Michael Sherman gave dedicated service to Alma College. Serving 11 years as a member of the Board of Trustees, including three years as a Board Chair, led the charge in support of numerous college fund raising projects. For more than 40 years was CEO and senior executive in the insurance industry, including leadership positions with SCG Fields, DMS Insurance Holdings, Melcher & Prescott Insurance, Acrisure LLC, Dawson Platform of Assured Partners and Dawson Companies. Sherman believes firmly that devotion to the values of a liberal arts education instills the values of learning responsibility and serving generously in one's community and profession.
