Lindsey Baker Evans served as a standout for Scots volleyball during her four years in the maroon. Baker was named a two-time MIAA MVP, and landed on the First Team All-MIAA selection sheet in her final three seasons.

In Baker’s freshman season, Alma posted a 24-10 record, going 11-4 in MIAA play. Baker recorded 934 assists, 30 service aces, and 210 digs.

The 2002 season saw the sophomore light up the stat sheet, registering improvements in every stat category. Alma went 24-8, and Baker surpassed 1,000 assists in a season, becoming just the second Scot to do so in program history. She finished with 1,238 assists, also finding more offensive footing by doubling her kills total, going from 46 to 108. She also added 65 aces.

In 2003, Baker continued to improve, posting 1,361 assists, 166 kills, and 66 aces, helping to drive Alma to a 31-6 record, and an NCAA tournament appearance.

The 2004 campaign saw Baker peak as a senior in her setter role. The addition of more firepower to the offense meant that her kill and ace numbers took a dip. However, Baker set a standing program record with a massive 1,573 assists on the season. Over 116 sets, the math came out to 13.56 assists per set, which ranked fourth in all of Divison III. This helped to power Alma to a 34-2 record, and another NCAA tournament appearance.

Baker remains one of only three Scots in program history to be named All-MIAA First Team on three occasions. She is also the only player in program history to have earned MIAA MVP honors on multiple occasions.

Her name covers the volleyball record books, and to this day, she is remembered as the most decorated Scot in program history.
