• A popular and highly successful athlete in the early years of Alma College athletics.
• Earned four letters in baseball and three in football.
• In 1915 he hit .500, going 25 hits for 50 at bats as the clean up hitter.
• Alma pulled off a win against Ferris in football and Goodrich placed the ball behind the goalpost for a touchdown after a 65-yard run.
• His nerve and great defensive work at end won him a place on the team.
• Scored a field goal by drop kick in the 14-3 loss to MAC (now Michigan State) in 1912.
• "Goodrich was rushed on the field and made good with a vengeance from 20 yards. He booted a pretty drop kick and MAC had been scored on."

• Receiving a punt on the 50-yard line, Goodrich ran through the whole University 11 (Detroit) and scored across the goal line.
• His character and personality will always bring him out on top of the heap.
