• Participated in basketball, football and track and field.
• Two-time All-MIAA basketball player.
• Led the Scots to the MIAA championship in 1932-33.
• During the 1932-33 season, Borton scored 213 points.
• Was captain of the 1932 football team and also earned All-MIAA honors in 1930.
• In May of 1932 he earned first place in four separate track events.
• At the 1933 field day, he earned a total of 14 points. This performance eclipsed a standard that had been held for 15 years.
• Coached basketball at Alma College from 1942 to 1950.
• Worked in the Vestaburg school systems.
