Hall of Fame
The 2000 Softball team is the sixth team in the program's history to be inducted into Alma College's Athletic Hall of Fame with a 43-8 season. The Scots won their fourth consecutive MIAA Championship, seventh overall with a record of 13-1, and went undefeated through the conference tournament and NCAA Regionals for the second year in a row. At the NCAA Division III Championships, the Scots dropped their first game to host Roanoke College, but came back to defeat Tufts, The college of New Jersey, and UW-Eau Claire. In semi-finals they lost to Chapman University to finish third in NCAA Division III for the second year in a row. Brandee Brower and Becky Pierce were named First Team-All Americans, Katheryn Nordin was Third Team. Four players received NFCA All-Region accolades as well. Brandee Brower was also named the league's Most Valuable Player.Â
