• Played on five championship teams.
• All-MIAA for basketball 1923-24 and 1924-25.
• Captain of the baseball team in 1924.
• One of the "Four Horsemen."
• Was considered the best guard in the MIAA for two of his years.
• "Those who have followed Alma teams through many a season, declare that he is the best guard ever worked on an Alma team."
• Mt. Pleasant often referred to him as the "man of many elbows" and said that he had "more hips than the Minnesota shift."
• Could guard more men at one time than any other man Alma had ever seen.
