Aaron Flethcer was a two sport athlete in his time at Alma. He excelled on the football field being named All-MIAA in 1988 and 1989, and in Track and Field he was a two-time All-MIAA honoree, stands fifth in the discus in Scots history, and was an NCAA qualifier in 1989 and 1990. In 1987, the sophomore placed eighth in receiving yards, and fifth in receptions. In 1988, he placed third in receiving yards and catches in the MIAA, and also tied for the conference lead in touchdown receptions. In 1989, he ranked second in receptions, fourth in yards, and caught eight touchdowns in five league games. In track and field, he won his first MIAA individual title, tossing a 144-4 in the discus. In 1990, Fletcher defended his MIAA title, and threw a 145-9 in the discus, winning by under three feet.Â
