ALMA, Mich. –  The Alma College women's lacrosse team competed at home against Albion College on Saturday, April 9. The Scots fell to the Britons, 18-6.

Rileigh McGeorge started off the scoring for Alma in the first minute of play with an unassisted goal. Albion responded with two goals in the first quarter, 2-1. 

The Scots matched Albion in the beginning of the second quarter with a goal from Kirsten Browne, 2-2. Albion found the back of the cage four more times and Emma Keith scored for a halftime score of 6-3.

Albion added five goals in the third quarter while McGeorge and Lauren Kelly eached added a point to the board, 11-5. 

The fourth quarter started with eight goals from Albion and Alma found one more goals from Sam Peterson for a final score of 18-6. . 

McGeorge led the game with two goals and two caused turnovers. Browne added three caused turnovers, goalie Alaina Frye had 10 saves,  and the Scots posted 17 groundballs. 

Next, Alma continues play at home against Adrian College on Wednesday, April 13.
