Kalamazoo, MI – Alma College Women's Lacrosse was in action on Saturday afternoon, taking on Kalamazoo College in MIAA conference action. The Scots were defeated by a final of 21-5.
Kalamazoo scored the first four goals of the game, before
Sarah Bollinger scored at the 1:40 mark to make it 4-1, the Hornets led 5-1 at the end of the first quarter. The home side pushed out to an 8-1 advantage before Bollinger struck again with 8:27 to play in the quarter, with Kzoo leading 10-2 at halftime. Out of the third quarter it was Bollinger again who scored just over two minutes in to the half to make it 11-3. Kalamazoo piled on six more goals , leading 19-3 after three quarters. Bollinger scored two more times in the final quarter, with the final score at 21-5 Kalamazoo.
In addition to her five goals, Bollinger had three draw controls. Madison Ramiez (2-6) made 11 saves in goal for the Scots.
Alma is back in action on Tuesday, taking on Trine University in their regular season home finale.
