Grand Rapids, MI – Alma College Women's Lacrosse was in action on Friday night, taking on Calvin University in MIAA conference play. The Scots were defeated 16-2 on the night.
Calvin scored a little over a minute into the game, and Alma responded less than 60 seconds later, when
Allyson Harvey scored to level things at one. The Knights offense then caught fire, piling on seven straight goals to lead 8-1 after one quarter. In the second quarter, Calvin held Alma off the board, while scoring one more goal to make it 9-1 at the half.
Out of the halftime break, the home side scored three goals to lead 12-1, before
Makayla Kozal scored off of a
Bryn Bishop assist to pull back within 10 at 12-2. The Knights held Alma scoreless the rest of the way, and led 13-2 after three quarters en route to a 16-2 final.
Madison Ramirez collected a team high five ground balls.
Grace Doherty collected two groundballs and two draw controls. Seven different Scots cause a turnover in the loss. Ramirez (2-9) also made 13 saves in goal in the contest.
Alma is back in action on Tuesday at Hope, when they wrap up their 2026 season.
