Holland, MI – Alma College Women's Lacrosse was in action on Tuesday evening, closing out their 2026 season against Hope College on the road. Alma was defeated 24-3 by the MIAA Co-Champions.
Hope scored the opening two goals of the game immediately, with Alma answering the bell in the form of a
Makayla Kozal marker, assisted by
Olivia Lazenby. The goal made it 2-1 just over two minutes in. The Flying Dutch would score five straight to make it 7-1, before Lazenby scored woman-up with 4:33, pulling Alma back within five. Hope went on to lead 11-2 after one quarter, and fired six more goals in to extend their advantage to 17-2 at halftime.
Out of the halftime break, Hope held Alma off the scoreboard, while piling on four more goals to lead 21-2 after three quarters.
Sarah Bollinger scored with 11:55 to play in the game, and Hope was able to add three more to their total, 24-3 the final score.
Alma got goals from Lazenby, Bollinger, and Kozal, and Lazenby put up a multi-point night.
Allyson Harvey collected four ground balls to lead the team in the loss, along with a caused turnover. Bollinger added three draw controls and two ground balls, as well as a caused turnover.
Madison Ramirez (2-10) made 10 saves in the loss.
Alma concludes the 2026 season at 2-10, and looks forward to 2027.
