HOWELL, Mich. — The Alma College Women's Lacrosse team kicked off its season with a win, 19-12, against Cleary University, on Friday, Feb. 11.
"Today's game was a complete team win from start to finish. We had so many different contributors all over the field. The energy our team brought to this game was incredible and the hustle shown by every player truly set us apart," Head Coach Ashley Johnson said.
Freshman Kirsten Browne led all players with seven points, including four goals and three assists. Sam Peterson and Emma Keith both added six points each from five goals and one assist. Ava Frederickson led all players with nine ground balls and five caused turnovers.
"Today was an excellent starting point for our season and I am excited to continue pushing forward and improving with this amazing group. We are looking forward to another great week of practice and then heading to Tennessee and North Carolina for three games over spring break."
