Notre Dame, IN- Playing in their first MIAA playoff game since 2014, the Alma College women's lacrosse team fell to Saint Mary's 26-5 on Saturday (Apr. 24) in the MIAA quarterfinals. With the loss, Alma's season ends at 1-9 overall while the number one seed Belles move on to the semifinals.
The Scots fell behind early in the first half before Alyssa Gall found the net in her final game as a member of the program. Minutes later, Gall would assist Emma Keith in scoring a goal and Alma would go into the locker room trailing 17-2.
Alma would continue to fight in the second half, as Keith would add two more goals to the stat sheet. Johnna Pullen would score the Scots final goal of the game.
Keith also led the team with three groundballs.
Allie Ray made three saves in net in her final game. Ray finishes her career as a Scot as the program leader with 722 career saves and a 50.9 save percentage. Alaina Frye would also come in at goalie and make three saves.
Alma will graduate seven seniors, Ray, Gall, Lydia Miller, Savana Shellman, Kalyn Thompson, Courtney Hartnagle, and Naomi Oravitz.
