Alma, Mich.- The Alma College women's lacrosse team lost 16-3 to Adrian College on Saturday (Apr. 17) at Bahlke Field. Alma concludes the regular season with a 1-8 overall record and an 0-4 MIAA record. Prior to the game the Scots honored their 2021 senior class consisting of Lydia Miller, Allie Ray, Courtney Hartnagle, Savana Shellman, Alyssa Gall, Kalyn Thompson, and Naomi Oravitz.
The Bulldogs started the game fast, and jumped out to a 12-1 lead at the end of the first half. Ava Frederickson got the Scots on the board with a goal off an assist by Emma Keith.
Alma would play hard in the second half, only giving up four goals. Keith found the back of the net midway through the second half from Johnna Pullen. A few minutes later, it was Keith who assisted Pullen in scoring a goal.
Emily Flynn led the Scots in ground balls with three, while Ray made 14 saves in net.
Alma will now prepare for the MIAA tournament that begins on Saturday (Apr. 24). Time, location, and opponent will be determined this week.
