Alma finishes its regular season with a 3-4 record while the Thunder finish the season at 8-5 overall and 1-4 in conference.
After being celebrated before the game, Aquilino fired up the crowd in the first 10 minutes with a goal that Lily Stephan earned the assist on.
Later in the first half, Trine would tie the game at 1. Paige Moore was then awarded a penalty kick with less than 10 minutes remaining in the half. Moore went to the left side of the net and beat the Trine netminder to put the Scots back in front, 2-1.
Coming out of halftime, the Scots continued to put the pressure on. Alma forced a turnover in the Thunder's defensive zone and then Aqulino sent a cross over to the right side of the Trine net where Abigail Dawes stepped in and booted one into the back of the net to make it 3-1 Alma.
