ALMA, Mich. – The Alma College women's soccer program held their ground and kept the ninth-ranked Knights off the scoreboard for most of the afternoon, but the defense that bent all day broke just enough for Calvin to escape
Scotland Yard with a 1-0 decision.
The Basics:

- Alma (11-6-1, 2-6 Michigan)
- #9 Calvin (14-1-1, 7-0-1 Michigan)

- Knights Lead 51-9-3 (16.7%)
- Winning Streak

How It Happened:
Alma spent much of the match in their defensive zone as Calvin put together 30 shots and 19 corner kicks but were unable to breakthrough as only 23.3% of their attempts were on-frame.
The singular goal of the contest was more like an errant cross that continued to sail as Lucy Iverson booted the ball from near the midfield stripe and it just kept drifting deeper than anticipated until it miraculously wound up sneaking into the net during the 78th minute.
Scots' Top Performers:
Mya Pofahl put on a show in her final appearance as a Scot, standing in the face of the third-most shots she's ever faced in her career (30) and saving 85.7% (6-for-7) of her opportunities.
Anna Waterstredt registered the offense's one shot opposite the Knights, placing the ball on-goal but ending up in the keeper's mitts.
Record Watch:
As a team, the Scots went 11-6-1 (63.9%) overall, the seventh-most wins in team history while compiling its second-highest number of shutouts ever recorded with ten.
Individually, Pofahl finishes eighth for single-season victories (9) and fourth regarding shutouts (6) while concluding her career by writing her name in the career record book four times; shutouts (9 – 2nd), saves (238 – 4th), wins (16 – 7th), and save percentage (72.1% – 10th).
Brenna Roholoff came through clutch all year, notching a trio of game-winning goals to put her eighth for a single campaign and
Ava Hoffman will enter her senior season in 2027 holding the eighth slot on the career list for go-ahead scores with five.
