How It Happened:
With the weather starting to cool off, Anna Waterstredt decided to get the goal scored early before the offenses stalled, slicing past defenders and depositing the ball into the net during the eighth minute off the assist from Graze Sczepanski.
The Maroon and Teal earned a bunch of chances at insurance in the second half thanks to six corner kicks but could not turn any into scores.
The defense put a zero in the opponent's goal column for the ninth time in 14 matches (64.3%), the fourth-highest amount in club history and held their adversaries to zero shots-on-goal for the second contest in-a-row.
Alma has now won double-digit games for the tenth time as a program.
Scots' Top Performers:
Waterstredt took sole possession of the team's points (11) and goals lead (5) for 2026 with her game-winner, raising her career totals to 20 and eight, respectively.
Sczepanski also widened the gap between her and the four Scots tied for second (2) for the team's assist crown, dishing out her fourth helper and seventh as a student of Alma.
Mya Pofahl's win (9) and complete game shutout (6) place her in the eighth and third slots on the single season list while the clean sheet gives her nine as a collegian, the second-highest allotment in the school's record book alongside Brandi Wright (2002-04) as well as Pam McCarthy (2002-05).
Ivy Beall was the singular player with multiple shots, launching two with one on-frame as Maddie Aten and Sczepanski claimed the other SOGs plus an off-target shot coming off the foot of Emily Ahearn.
