Box Score ANGOLA, Ind. — The Alma College Women's Soccer team closed out their season at Trine University on Tuesday, Oct. 26. The Scots fell to the Thunder, 1-0. Alma finished their season 5-10 overall and 3-5 in conference play.
"Last night's game against Trine was an excellent match up for us and what a fun battle it was. Though we didn't come out on top, we left it all out there and that's something to be proud of," said head coach Meghan Gorsuch.
Trine found the back of the net within the first seven minutes of play. Alma played a defensive game and only allowed four shots on goal. Goalkeeper Nicole Tuzinowski had three saves in the net.
"Spots 2 through 7 were open in the league last night, which goes to show how competitive the MIAA is for women's soccer. I love that," Coach Gorsuch said.
"We have some refinement to chase, consistency-wise, but certainly return a capable group and can't thank the seniors enough for the contributions they have made as players and people over the past four years!"
