Alma, Mich. - The Alma College women's soccer team defeated Trine University on Tuesday afternoon 1-0. With the win, Alma is now 2-5-2 overall and 2-5 in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association while Trine falls to 5-6 and 1-6 in the MIAA.

What Happened

• Alma's goal came in the 48th minute. Amanda Mladenovski (Shelby Township, Mich. / Henry Ford II) created space for herself on the left side of the box and shot to the far post for her team-leading fourth goal of the year.
• Mladenovski was given a yellow card in the 83rd minute after a hard tackle.

Notables

• Alma outshot the Thunder 16-11. Mladenovski had three shots on goal, tied for the most of any player.
• Kelsey Postema (Marshall, Mich. / Marshall) made five saves in the contest.
• Alma took nine corner kicks in the game to Trine's one.
