Box Score Holland, Mich. - The Alma College women's soccer team dropped a 3-0 match against No. 22 Hope College on Saturday (Sept. 23) under hot conditions at the Van Andel Soccer Stadium.
Hope (8-1-0 overall, 6-1-0 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association) scored in the 18th minute to lead by a goal at the half, then added a pair of markers in the final 45 minutes to close out the game.
Senior goalkeeper Kelsey Postema (Marshall, Mich./Marshall) made career-high 17 saves in net as the Scots (1-5-2, 1-5-0 MIAA) were outshot by a 35-1 margin.
How It Happened
- Rylie Dalton scored in the 18th minute to give Hope a 1-0 lead, knocking in a rebound off an initial save by Kelsey Postema.
- Audrey White sent a shot under the cross bar from 15 yards out to give the Dutch a 2-0 advantage in the 36th minute before Hilary Curry scored in the 47th minute off an assist by Dalton.
