Scots Drop to MIAA Leader Calvin College

Grand Rapids, Mich. - The Alma College women's lacrosse team fell to Calvin College after a 19-0 decision Saturday afternoon (April 15). The Scots' record dropped to 7-5 overall, and to 1-3 in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association, while the Knights remain undefeated in the conference while improving their record 6-5 overall and 4-0 in the MIAA.

Senior Darby Kahler (Coldwater, Mich. / Coldwater) collected all of the Scots' four draw controls, tying her for fifth in the conference. This is the sixth time this season Kahler has collected a team high in draw controls.

Freshman Allie Ray (Port Jefferson Station, N.Y. / Comsewogue), who remains first in the conference for save percentage, made a career-high 18 saves off 37 shots. Ray tied for second with most saves in a single game in program history. Ray tied Stephanie Herman who is the current record holder with 26 saves.

The Scots will return to Bahlke Field on Friday (April 21) to face Adrian College.  The game is set to start at 4 pm.
