By Harrison LaLone, Sports Information Student Assistant

Alma, Mich. - The Alma College women's lacrosse team returned to campus to face the Illinois Technical Institute on Tuesday, March 7th. The Scots fell 15-4.

Senior Darby Kahler (Coldwater, Mich. / Coldwater) led the Scots in scoring with the first two goals of the game, both on free position attempts. Fellow senior Kilee DeBrabander (Marshall, Mich. / Marshall) led in ground balls with five and caused turnovers with two.

The third goal of the evening was scored by freshman Nikki Reece (Livonia, Mich. / Ladywood) in her first game since being voted player of the week in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) for last week. The fourth and final goal by the Scots was scored by freshman Mia Harvey (Grand Rapids, Mich. / Forest Hills Northern) in the final ten minutes of the second half.

The eventual final score of 15-4 came in large part to a run of nine straight goals by the Scarlet Hawks between the final ten minutes of the first half and the first ten minutes of the second. The Scarlet Hawks come away still undefeated for the year while the Scots fall to 2-2.

The Alma College women's lacrosse team returns to Bahlke Field to take on Concordia University of Chicago (IL) on Sunday, March 12th.
