Calvin added three more goals at the start of the second half to take the 9-4 lead before sophomore Shelby Frazer (Holt, Mich./Holt) netted a goal on an assist from Street. The second half was a back and forth game and senior Emily Reverman (Grand Ledge, Mich./Grand Ledge) cut Alma's deficit to 12-8 on a free position shot. However, Alma was unable to come back from the deficit and ended up falling to the Knights 16-9.

Both Street and Reverman led the team with three goals. Street picked up team high three assists and Reverman picked up team high three ground balls in tonight's game. Holbrook was in the net for Alma, recording a career high of 17 saves in the loss. Her record moved to 4-5 this 2016 season.

QUOTE:

Head Coach Ashley Johnson

on the evening...

"It was great to celebrate our seniors prior to this game. We played a very strong first half, however we weren't able to maintain that level of play for an entire game. We will focus on playing for a full 60 minutes."
