Box Score

On an afternoon that featured chilly temperatures and snow showers, the Alma College Women's Lacrosse team welcomed Saint Mary's College (IN) to Bahlke Field for an MIAA matchup. Led by huge games from Sr. MF Tracy Gallihugh (Lansing/Waverly) and Jr. A Ashton Street (Brighton/Brighton), the Scots dominated the Belles en route to a 19-3 victory at home.

With the win, Alma improves to 4-10 overall and 3-3 in league action. Conversely, Saint Mary's drops to 6-9 on the year and 2-5 in conference play.

The Belles would get on the board first at 26:28, before the Scots would securely take control of the game.

Gallihugh would tie the game with a free position shot and would be followed by a free position goal by Street to put Alma up 2-1 at 21:48.

Street would then find Gallihugh for another goal, before taking it herself to extend the advantage to 4-1 with just over 18 minutes to play in the first half.

Street then collected assists number two and three of the first half, finding Sr. MF Sydney Bryce (Lake Orion Lake Orion) and Fr. A Shelby Frazier (Holt/Holt), to stretch the lead to 6-1 at 16:11.

At 14:12, Bryce found the back of the net for the second time to put Alma up 7-1.

Gallihugh then found So. A Kaitlyn Urick (Glen Ellyn, IL/Glenbrand West) for a goal, before scoring one of her own, to put the Scots up 9-1 with just over 12 minutes to play in the half.

Frazier would collect her second goal of the afternoon off another Gallihugh assist, before Fr. A Katherine Rogers (Farmington Hills/Farmington Hills) logged her first-career netter to put Alma up 10, 11-1, at 6:18.

Saint Mary's would snap the 11-0 run with a score at 2:28, but Street would keep the Scots rolling with three-straight goals to end the half.

After the first 30 minutes, Alma held the commanding 14-2 lead.

The Scots remained in control in the second half, as Gallihugh scored four-unanswered goals to extend the Alma advantage to 18-2 with just under 15 minutes to remaining.

At 12:41, Jr. A Ashlee Fish (Alma/Alma) would find the back of the net on a free position shot to stretch the lead to 19-2, before the Belles would put one more on the board to bring the final score to 19-3.
