Alma's Women's Soccer team traveled to Denison College, ranked #20, on Sunday and dropped a 1-0 decision. The Scots are now 1-2 in 2009, while Denison improved to 3-0.

The only goal of the game was scored at the 4:16 mark as Kim Oshita scored an unassisted goal off of a rebound (shot by Anna Rusch) that gave the home team the one goal advantage.

Denison used a smothering defense the rest of the contest and Alma was only able to muster two shots on the afternoon. The Scots were tough defensively as well, as the the #20 ranked team notched just five shots on goal all afternoon against Alma So. GK Emma Heppler (East Lansing, MI/East Lansing).

The Scots will travel to Saginaw on Friday to take on Division II Saginaw Valley State, before playing host Heidelberg College on Sunday afternoon.
