Alma, Mi- The Alma College Women's Soccer Team welcomed MIAA leader Calvin College to Scotland Yard and proved that they can compete with anyone in the conference, giving up two goals in the first half before dominating the ball in the second half but falling short in the end by the score 0-2.

Calvin scored both their goals in the first period with goal number one coming at the 20th minute and goal number two coming in the 41st minute. The Scots came out in the second half and pressured hard, controlling the ball and getting numerous looks at the goal but could not find the net. Tara Fitzsimmons (Marshall/Marshall) attacked the entire second period for the Scots, getting off six shots and showing great effort.

The Scots have a week off before hosting Defiance College at the East Lansing Soccer Complex on October 17. The game is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m.
