The Scots came out strong first half going against a strong gusty wind and possessed the ball well. Defensively, Alma held the Britons scoreless after first half play. Megan Murphy (Gaylord), Megan Thompson (Royal Oak Dondero), Alison Tolly (Okemos) and Ruth Anderson (Holt) played a solid game in the defensive third.
Second half with the wind advantage, the Scots pushed forward and scored an early goal at 47:40 when Christina Harig (Benzie Central) followed up and deflected the kick from Albion goalkeeper. She followed it and pushed in the net. Pam McCarthy did an excellent job in the net for the Scots as she recorded 6 saves and another shutout this week. Earlier this week, Pam was recognized as MIAA defensive player of the week for two back-to-back shutouts last wek.
The Scots improved their record to 7-10-1 overall and 6-7-1 in MIAA. They will travel to Olivet next Tuesday to take on the Comets. Game time is set for 3 p.m.
