Holland, MI – Alma College Swimming and Diving continued competition on Friday at the 2026 MIAA Swimming and Diving Championship, Presented by Collegiate Credit Union. Alma posted a number of time drops and scoring swims, holding their team positions in the standings after three days of competition.
For the men, the 200 medley relay team of
Morrison Wood,
Brent Riehl,
Nolan Kaiser, and
Sam Couch combined to take 3
rd place. The B relay of
Andrew Barrett,
Cody Benkovsky,
Eli Mull, and
Max Nielsen took 11
th.
Brett Gaff took 12
th in the 400 IM, with
Kyle Scheck taking 13
th. Kaiser placed 14
th in the 100 fly, with Barrett taking 15
th.
Colin Moran took 13
th in the 200 freestyle, Mull took 14
th, and
Colton Ralko was 16
th. Riehl placed 8
th in the 100 breaststroke, with his prelim time of 57.43 shattering his own Alma College record by 1.4 seconds. Benkovsky won the 100 breast B final in 9
th and
Anthony Kulka was 14
th. Closing things out, Wood was 12
th in the 100 backstroke.
After three days, Alma sits 5
th at 262.5 points. The Scots trail Albion in 4
th at 273, and lead Olivet in 6
th with 11 points. Hope leads the pack at 828.5.
On the women's side, the 200 medley relay team of

Lily Smith,
Sierra Scott, and
Hannah Sullivan placed 4
th. The B relay of
Zoe Barringer,
Sarah Rabbideau,
Abi Spitzley, and
Aubrey Hawks took 11
th.
Emma Hoy took 10
th in the 400 IM, with
Megan Black claiming 16
th. Spitzley went on to take 10
th in the 100 butterfly, with Scott coming in 12
th.
Delilah Zingelewicz won the B final of the 200 freestyle, finishing 9
th. Sullivan and Val Vinci finished 13
th and 14
threspectively. Smith and
Laney Voisinet were A finalists in the 100 breaststroke. Smith was 7
th and Voisinet 8
th, with Rabbideau in 11
th, and
Marie Halligan in 16
th. Closing things out, Barringer came in 14
th in the 100 backstroke, with Floros in 15
th.
After three days, the Scots sit 4
th at 284 points. Alma trails Kalamazoo in 3
rd, who has 310, and leads Albion in 5
th at 237 points. Hope leads at 828.5.
The Scots are back in the pool tomorrow to close out the championships. Prelims start at 10 AM, with finals at 5 PM.
