Holland, MI – Alma College Swimming and Diving was in action on Wednesday night, taking part in the opening session of the 2026 MIAA Swimming and Diving Championships, presented by Collegiate Credit Union. The Scots were third on the women's side after night one, and tied for third on the men's side.
In the pool, Alma's men opened the night with a strong showing in the 800 free relay. The team of
Brent Riehl,
Colin Moran,
Max Nielsen, and
Eli Mull combined to take third place. The quartet of
Cody Benkovsky,
Ryan Fowler,
Anthony Kulka, and
Colton Ralko picked up a 12
th place finish.
Alma's men sit in a tie for third place after night one, level on points with Albion at 46. The Scots are leading Kalamazoo with 40 points, and trailing Hope at 56, and the leaders in Calvin at 58.
The Scots women saw the relay team of
Laney Voisinet,
Hannah Sullivan,
Delilah Zingelewicz, and
Sofia Floros take third place. The grouping of
Zoe Barringer,
Aubrey Hawks,
Emma Hoy, and Val Vinci took 11
th place.
The Scots women are in third after night one at 48 points. The Scots are in front of Kalamazoo with 44 points, and Albion at 28. Alma trails Calvin with 52 points, and the leaders in Hope at 62.
The Scots are back in action tomorrow for day two, with prelims starting at 10 AM.
