Alma, MI – Ahead of their 2026 season opener, the Alma College STUNT team was ranked in the national preseason polls, which were released by STUNT the Sport on Tuesday afternoon. The Scots came in at #2 in the club division, following their national runner up finish in 2025.
Alma had remained at either #2 or #3 for the entirety of the 2025 season, the Scots' first in the club division, which culminated in a national final loss to top ranked Oklahoma State University. Prior to that, Alma had remained in the top slot in the varsity Division III category for several seasons during a four-peat as national champions..
The aforementioned title game appearance came at the end of an 11-4 season, which saw Alma undefeated against club division competition in the regular season. The Scots scored five of their 11 wins over nationally ranked opponents.
Defending national champion Oklahoma State University topped the poll in the club division, and Michigan State University trailed Alma at #3 in the ranking.
To say that the Scots will play a loaded schedule in 2026 is an understatement, with every single opponent on Alma's schedule being ranked in their respective division. Highlights include a trip to the University of Kentucky to take on the #2 Division I school in the country, as well as a neutral game against club #3 Michigan State. The toughest game on the Scots docket is a home game against top ranked Division I powerhouse California Baptist, who boast a perfect 107-0 record in their five seasons of competition.
Alma opens their 2026 season on Sunday at Kentucky, with games against #10 Saint Mary's (TX) and #2 Kentucky. Their full 2026 regular season schedule can be found below.
