Nashville, TN – Alma College STUNT closed out their 2025 season Sunday, playing in the College STUNT Club Division national championship game. Taking on top seeded Oklahoma State, the Scots fell 16-14 in a game that went down to the wire.
Similar to the Saturday night matchup, OKST jumped out to an early 4-1 lead in quarter one. The Scots salvaged a point by tying out the last round of the quarter with routine 1. Trailing 4-1, an Alma challenge flipped the first round result of quarter two, routine 8, to pull the Scots back into things at 4-2. Tying out routine 7 in the next round, along with scoring on routine 6 at the end of the quarter was enough to keep Alma within two points at halftime, with the Scots trailing 6-4.
Alma pulled closer coming out of halftime, scoring on routine 4 to get within one. Oklahoma State scored the next two points, and the teams tied out routine 6 to head to the final quarter with the Scots trailing 9-6. The first round of quarter four, routine 3, saw Alma outscore the Cowgirls 3-1, pulling back within a point at 10-9. OKST won the next round 2-1 on routine 8 to get back up by two points at 12-10. The teams tied routine 7 in the third round to send things to the final routine with the Scots trailing by two. Despite Alma's best effort on the final call, routine 2, the teams tied at 2-2, and Oklahoma State ran out 16-14 winners.
The Scots conclude their season at 11-4, and finish as national runners-up in their first season as a member of the Club Division. Alma looks forward to 2026.
