Big Rapids, MI – Alma College STUNT was in action on Sunday afternoon, playing a pair of games at the Ferris State tournament. Alma won both games in dominant fashion, defeating the University of Michigan 24-0, before winning 33-13 against Michigan State.

In their opening game, Alma controlled things from the jump, getting out to a 4-0 lead after the opening period, and leading 8-0 at halftime. Routines one, two, three, and four were called in different orders in each quarter. Out of the half, Alma converted on routines four, six, one, and three to lead 12-0 at the end of the third. In the fourth quarter, the Scots swept routines three, two, one, and four to claim maximum points in the win, 24-0 the final.

In game two, the Scots jumped all over MSU, taking the first point of the game on a routine six, before winning routines two and five, both within two. The final routine of the period, a call eight from MSU, resulted in no point, with Alma leading 5-2 at the end of one. In the second quarter, Alma won all routines, with the Scots taking eight, five, three, and two. The last two routines were called within two, and the Scots lead jumped up to 11-4 at halftime.
In the third quarter, the teams tied routine three, before Alma won a routine five to increase their lead to 13-5. Another tie on routine five, followed by a routine six win, gave the Scots a nine-point lead over the Spartans. In the fourth quarter, the Scots won routines five and seven by scores of 5-2, before winning routine three 5-3. Alma swept the final routine, routine six, bringing the score to its final of 33-13.
The Scots are off to a 3-1 start with the wins, and open club division play 2-0. Alma is back in action on February 22, when they host Central Michigan and Davenport in their home opener.
