Dance Redeems Gold Paid Bid as 2025 Hip Hop Grand National Champions at NCA Camp

PORT HURON, Mich. - The Alma College Dance Team returned from Port Huron ready to raise the bar for the upcoming season. This year's camp was slightly different than past camps as the Scots entered with their 2026 Nationals Gold Paid Bid already secured from their Grand National Championship victory in Hip Hop from the past the spring. Without the pressure of qualification, the team focused on growth and fully embracing every moment.

Port Huron once again delivered an atmosphere filled with unmatched energy, sportsmanship, and talent. College athletes from across the region came together in an environment that celebrated both competition and camaraderie.

The Scots' efforts were recognized with numerous awards including, Most Spirited (which is voted on by peers at camp), Pro Team Dance Winner and Game Day Run Off Winner, which the Scots competed against all divisions. Individually, ADT also had five All-American nominees which included Annalise Kreza, Katie Henstock, Nicole Yacks Lauren Heard and Cadence Higgins with Kreza, Heard and Higgins receiving All-American status for their efforts put forth at camp. Team10 also brought home the Spirit Stick from NDA camp to round out their awards from their different viewpoint of camp this season as they left with their Gold Paid Bid redeemed from last seasons historical championship.

"I couldn't be prouder of how our team approached this camp. The energy, leadership, and heart they showed all week is a reflection of the culture they've built at Alma. We left feeling connected, motivated, and ready to raise our standard" said Head Coach Tracy Burton, looking to continue to rewrite the history of ADT at the national level.

The Scots will now shift their focus to fall training, preparing for a season that promises to showcase both their competitive excellence and their unwavering team spirit. Team 10 will be showcasing their talents throughout numerous events this fall season including home football games and leading into the basketball season as well.
