ALMA, Mich. - Alma College Women's Lacrosse has gained a pair of academic recognitions from the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association. The Scots were named to the Division III Academic Squad list and had nine student-athletes named to the IWLCA Division III Academic Honor Roll.
The IWLCA has named schools across Division I, II, III, and NAIA as IWLCA Academic Honor Squads for the 2024-25 academic year. To qualify for this prestigious honor, women's lacrosse teams must post a 3.2 or higher team GPA for the academic year. On the individual side, the IWLCA honored 1,286 student-athletes from 201 different institutions on the 2024-25 IWLCA Division III Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible for this honor, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater.
In the team listing, Alma was listed along with four MIAA teams representing the conference. The Scots were joined by five MIAA schools in the Academic Honor Roll, posting the highest number of individuals among conference representatives.
