Dance Sets Program High in Jazz Prelims Performance

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Alma College dance team brought their 2025 Jazz routine to competition for the first time at NDA College Nationals on Thursday, April 10th, at 1:24 PM. Alma put together a stellar routine that scored them a first-place finish after prelims, and the highest Jazz routine score in program history.

Following their prelims performance, the Scots received the results for Jazz Divison III, where they found themselves atop the list and to a pleasant surprise, a score of 93.8857. This score marks a program high, along with finishing ahead of their nearest competitor by five plus points on the results sheet. Montclair State University finished in second with a score of 88.2571, followed by the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, who finished third with a score of 87.2000. The University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and New York University rounded out the top five, those of which will be competing in tomorrow's finals competition.

Alma is looking to improve upon their already record high score and set a new program high in the finals performance. ADT will also perform their Hip Hop preliminary round performance tomorrow morning at 10:12 AM before resetting and focusing on an all-important Jazz finals routine in hopes of being crowned a champion for another consecutive year.

Jazz finals will take place in the afternoon, with ADT performing in the final spot of the Division III category at 2:36 PM.
