Minneapolis, MN – Alma College Football saw six student-athletes earn D3football.com All-Region status, according a release issued by the news organization on Wednesday morning.
The six All-Region honorees bring the program's total to 32, dating back to 2010, and come on the heels of an 8-3 season that saw the Scots win an outright MIAA championship for the third time in four seasons. Jason Couch has accounted for 29 of the 32 during his tenure as Alma's head coach.
"It's a great honor to have six incredible young men represent the Alma College Scots on this stage." Said Couch. "They perform at a very high level both on and off the field, and deserve every bit of the praise they receive."
Eddie Williams was named to the first team, and the second team honorees were
Jack Anderson and Abe Evans.
Zach Poff,
JB Couch, and
Mar'Sean Massenburg were all named to the third team.
Anderson and Massenburg are both first-time award winners. For Williams, Couch, and Poff, this marks the second time in their careers that they have earned the accolade, with Evans now stamped as a three-time honoree.
With the honor, the six Scots are now eligible for D3football.com All-America honors, which will be released at a later date.
