DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Alma College dance team rounded out their performances in the Ocean Center at Daytona Beach as they hit the stage for finals in Division III Hip Hop. Team8 set a new program record scoring a 95.7714 in finals, the programs highest score ever in competition.
Alma was crowned the National Champions in their division with the record-high score, beating out Ramapo College of New Jersey who finished finals with a score of 89.5143. In third was SUNY Cortland, finishing with a score of 85.7429. Rounding out the finals performances was Bridgewater State University, 83.2857, finishing in fourth-place. Team8's score of 95.7714 was the third highest score of all division of Hip Hop for finals performances on Saturday, in the team's first-ever time competing in the event.
The Scots will now cherish their week together and travel back to Michigan where their supporters are ready to cheer them on and congratulate them on a great week of competitions.
