DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Alma College dance team hit the Ocean Center floor for day two of competition which included their Hip Hop preliminary performance and their Jazz finals performance.
In Hip Hop, the Scots currently sit in first in the Division III with a score of 94.9143, which was the second highest score of all divisions of Hip Hop for the day, behind Brigham Young University (BYU). Behind Alma is Ramapo College of New Jersey with a score of 89.0857, and SUNY Cortland is in third with a score of 85.5429. Bridgewater State University also qualified for final with a score of 83.3429.
Team8 also competed in the finals for Division III Jazz in the afternoon after sitting in first place from yesterday's preliminary performance. The Scots only got better with their final's performance taking home first place and the National Championship with a finals score of 93.2286. Alma was four points ahead of the second-place finisher, Montclair State University, who finished with a score of 89.2. Team8 is also the only team in the division to score in the nineties for their final's performance.
ADT will be back in the Ocean Center bright and early tomorrow, Saturday, April 13th, as they will perform their Hip Hop routine at 10:33 AM for their final's performance.
