Grand Rapids, MI – Alma College Cross Country headed to Grand Rapids on Saturday to take part in the MIAA Championships. Alma's men finished 7
th with a score of 223, and the women placed in 6
th with a score of 178
For Alma's women,
Chloe Colton was the top finisher, scoring a 27
th place finish in 23:51.
Melanie Werner was the next across the line in 30
th with a 23:53.
Lauren Brawt clocked a 24:24 to take 37
th.
Caleigh Winters picked up a 39
th place mark with a 24:41, and Sophia Dech took 45
th in 25:00.
For the men,
Will Maginity was the top finisher on the day, running a 27:56 to take 37
th overall.
Nolan Woodman placed 42
nd with a 28:39, and
Noah Murphy scored a 45
th place finish at 29:08. Aidien Aldrich was 49
th , finishing in 30:07, and Jermiah Thompson's 30:28 was good for 50
th to round out Alma's top five.
Alma looks forward to the NCAA Regional meet to continue their postseason competition.
