Shelbyville, IN – Alma College Cross Country took to the course on Saturday to take part in the NCAA Division III Great Lakes Regional. The Scots finished 23
rd on the women's side, and 39
th on the men's side.
For the women,
Erica Slocum was the top finisher, clocking a 24:28.5 to take 114
th place.
Caleigh Winters was the next Scot to cross the line, finishing in 116
th at 24:35.5.
Melanie Werner finished in 24:44.7 to take home 128
th place, and
Chloe Colton was next across for Alma, taking 155
th with a time of 25:14.2. Rounding out the top 5 was
Lauren Brawt, who placed 156
th with a 25:15.0.
On the men's side,
Will Maginity was the leader for the Scots. He placed 188
th with a 28:37.0.
Noah Murphy clocked a 29:17.7, good for 220
th. Close behind was
Nolan Woodman, who took 224
th with a time of 29:30.8.
Aiden Aldrich was 251
st with a time of 30:24.1, and the top 5 for Alma was rounded out by
Jeremiah Thompson, who finished in 31:19.1 to take 266
th.
The Scots round out their 2024 season, and look forward to building into 2025.
