Charlotte, MI - Alma College Cross Country took part in the MIAA Championships on Saturday morning. The Scots women finished in 6th place, and the men in 8th.
For Alma's men,
Felix Ramirez was the top finisher, placing 91st in 28:10, and was followed across the line by
Nico Di Ponio in 92nd, just three tenths of a second behind his teammate.
Noah Murphy came home in 28:27 to take 98th, and
Ethan Shroat finished 10 seconds later in 101st. Just two seconds behind Shroat was
Nolan Woodman in 103rd at 28:39, and
Benjamin Dickieson was the next Scot to cross the finish line in 29:08 to take 113th.
Jeremiah Thompson rounded out the top seven in 126th at 29:52.
On the women's side, Sophia Dech was the top finisher, placing 47th in 24:12.
Chloe Colton took 65th in 24:46, and was followed by
Lauren Brawt in 72nd at 25:09.
Erica Slocum ran a 25:22 to place 78th, and had both
Helena Snyder (25:28) and
Kaitriss DeGroft (25:32) place 82nd and 83rd.
Calla Armstrong rounded out the top seven with a time of 26:20 to place 99th.
The Scots are back in action on November 15 at the NCAA Regionals in Kentucky.
