Grand Rapids, MI – Alma College Cross Country took part in the Calvin University Knight Invite on Saturday. Alma's men finished 9
th, with the women finishing 4
th.
For Alma's women, Sophia Dech led the way, finishing 12
th overall with a time of 23:45. She was followed by
Chloe Colton in 27
th, who finished in 25:00. Next across the line was
Melanie Werner in 25:26 to take 31
st.
Kaitriss DeGroft finished at 25:28 to take home 33
rd, and was followed by
Lauren Brawt in 36
th at 25:38.
Erica Slocum placed 38
th with a time of 25:48, and
Kennedi Wahmhoff rounded out the top seven in 41
st at 26:09.
For the Scots men,
Ethan Shroat was the top finisher, placing 81
st in 29:26.
Felix Ramirez was just six seconds behind in 84
th, and
Nolan Woodman's time of 29:45 was good for 92
nd. The next Scot to cross the line was
Nico Di Ponio in 100
th at 30:07.
Benjamin Dickieson's time of 31:05 was good for 111
th, and
Noah Murphy was right behind in 112
th, finishing in 31:11. Rounding out the top seven for Alma was
Jeremiah Thompson in 118
th, who finished in 31:43.
The Scots are off until the Inter-Regional Rumble, hosted by Oberlin College, on October 18
th.
