Alma started chipping away at the Kalamazoo lead early in the fourth as Weber would score another goal on an assist from Leppanen in the first two minutes, brining Alma within three. Alma got within one just a minute later on a Gulick goal, headlining into the final ten minutes of a drama filled game.
