Over the past weekend, the Alma College Swim and Dive Teams competed in the MIAA Relay meet at Calvin University. This meet was not scored but the Men's and Women's teams both had excellent swims that will help the swimmers prepare for the MIAA season that starts with dual meets next week.
On the Men's side the biggest result of the day was in the 1500x3 freestyle relay where the team of Eli Mull, Andrew Barrett, and Seth Stahl placed 5th with a time of 16:31.98 and the relay team of Ryan Gray, Luc Lawson, and Jon Beerbower placed 6th with a time of 16:42.40.
For the Women in the 200 Breast Relay the team of Laney Voisinet, Emma Figlewicz, Grace Ludema, and Lily Smith placed 5th with a time of 2:25.68. In the 200 Yard Back Relay, the team of Megan Neeley, Sofia Floros, Anya Drewnicki, and Marissa Luzac place 6th with a time of 2:04.57.
Overall it was still a very successful outing with swimmers racking up yards in a competition setting, getting ready for what comes next weekend. The Scot's are back in action this Friday as they face Albion College and Calvin University in a double dual meet at Venema Aquatic Center in Grand Rapids.
