Box Score ALMA, Mich. – The Alma College men's lacrosse team closed out conference play on Saturday, April 30 against Albion College for a final score of 27-9 in the Britons favor. Alma finished 1-5 in MIAA play.
The first quarter was led by Albion College with 10 goals to Alma's two goals scored by Paul Heuschele with the pass from Evan Zarotney and an unassisted goal from Anar Tumurbaatar, 10-2.
Drew Gulick started the second quarter with an unassisted goal in the first minute. The Britons added seven points to the board before Byron Weber found an opening in the net. Albion added four more in the second quarter for a halftime score of 21-4.
Albion added a point at the beginning of the third quarter before the Scots added four consecutive goals with two from Tumurbaatar, one from Haden Johnson, and one from Ezra Leppanen. Albion found the cage two more times before the end of the quarter, 24-8.
Lucas Gratz added the final goal for Alma while Albion added three in the fourth quarter for a final score of 27-9.
Tumurbaatar led the Scots with three points. Weber added nine groundballs while Joey Allen added seven. Zarotney posted three caused turnovers and goalie Thomas Burns added 12 saves.
