Box Score ANGOLA, Ind. – The Alma College men's lacrosse team traveled to Trine University on Saturday, April 9. The Scots fell to the Thunder, 10-6.
The first quarter was led by Trine with three goals to Alma's one from Kevin Koenn assisted by Anar Tumurbaatar, 3-1.
The Scots ended the second quarter with a goal from Haden Johnson with another assist from Tumurbaatar. The Thunder fired back with a goal in the final seconds of the first half, 4-2.
The third quarter brought Alma back in the game with two goals from Ezra Leppanen, assisted by Tumurbaatat and Johnson. Byron Weber found the back of the net with an unassisted goal and Leppanen found Johnson for a four-goal streak from Alma, 6-4. Trine tied the game with back-to-back goals heading into the fourth quarter, 6-6.
The fourth quarter was all Trine with four goals and a final score of 10-6.
Johnson and Leppanen led the Scots with two goals and one assist each. Tumurbaatar added three assists and Weber had six groundballs. Goalie Thomas Burns had 14 saves on the day.
Next, heads back home on Tuesday, April 12 to play Adrian College.
