Box Score ALMA, Mich. – The Alma College men's lacrosse team fell, 23-6, to the Albion College Britons on Saturday at Bahlke Field. The Scots drop to 1-4 while the Britons move to 2-0 on the season.
The Scots scored the opening goal with Chase Hunyadi setting up Haden Johnson for the score. At the end of the first quarter, Albion led by a score of 3-2.
The Britons piled onto their lead in the second quarter and led by commanding score of 12-3 at halftime. The Scots were able to find the back a couple of times in the second half but Albion was just too much for them today.
Ezra Leppanen earned a hat trick for the Scots. Haden Johnson also had three-point game with one goal and two assists. Byron Weber picked up nine ground balls and won 13 faceoffs for Alma.
Evan Zarotney led the team in caused turnovers with four while Joey Allen tallied three caused turnovers. Thomas Burns played the second half in net and made nine saves on the day.
Alma will head to Hope College on Friday, March 12 at 5 p.m. for its next game.
